Y’all, this bedroom has been a labor of slllloooowwww pandemic love and I am finally ready to share all the sources and details! I wouldn’t say it’s totally complete, I’m still searching for the perfect rug to go all the way under the bed and still on the hunt for hat hooks to hang my hats on but for the most part, she is all finished! Oh and I’m still waiting on our hardware for the dressers but those won’t be here until March so I figured I should go ahead and share!

I started with this piece of art… I’d been coveting it for quite some time and knew I had to have it. I linked a few below that are similar but for this exact one, click here!
Next came the dressers… I scoured facebook marketplace for these and finally found two dressers that I loved and would fit the space. I sanded them down and began the refinishing process. I still have one more coat of the bleach process, but so far, it’s come out just how I pictured them. I ordered these pulls and knobs for them and can’t wait for them to get here (in march because of shipping delays).
Next up, bedding and Pillows… I used what I already had, white sheets and a white comforter and blanket but if you checked out my Christmas wishlist, you know I put this bedding set on it… hopefully Santa delivers! Oh the Pillows! Swapping out pillows can make the biggest impact and I think that is true here! I didn’t have a cohesive pillow set prior to this makeover and I love how all of these pair together… some love a lot of pillows and some like less (like my husband) but in my opinion… the more the better!
Lighting… this was similar to the art. I had fallen in love with these sconces a while ago and had been working a lot of the bedroom makeover around using these and y’all, I know lighting is expensive but it can be such a game-changer. These really make the design pull together.
The mirror… Oh the mirror… I am in love! It’s definitely a statement piece with it’s arched top and size so it’s not going to be for every bedroom but if you have the space for it, I can’t recommend it enough! It ties into the design and I think it really softens the space with it’s rounded edges and brightens it with the reflection of the light. I also love that it reflects the artwork when I first walk into the room!
Lastly, drapery and hardware! I searched for a while for a rounded edged rod to tie in the arch of the mirror. I landed on these because everything else I was finding was a tad out of budget or didn’t fit my measurements. I already had the drapes so we worked with what we had. I played around with the idea of doing a charcoal or patterned drape but I think between the art and the rug, it would’ve been a bit much. I like the idea of keeping it light and airy with the cream drapes.

I just love how this space came out and besides painting the room itself, (we used Benjamin Moore, Simply White) and refinishing the dressers, it was really fun bringing this space together. Using a blend of old and new I think really helped achieve the look I was after and I couldn’t be happier!
