GET FIT

Fitness, post babies, has been tough simply because I can never seem to find the time. Before pregnancy, my go to workout was Bikram Yoga. I was semi-addicted and was able to fit it into my schedule 4-5 times a week. I stopped going once we found out we were expecting twins and was advised by my doctor to find a less intense form of exercise.

A friend and fellow Bikram lover recommended that I try Tracy Anderson’s Pregnancy Project…

TWIN TALK | DIAPER BAG FOR 2

I’m a tad OCD when it comes to packing our diaper bag. When lugging around two babies, the last thing I need is a giant overstuffed diaper bag to add to the mix. For that reason, I do my best to keep it packed with only the essentials that we need in our day to day routine. I think the only difference in packing a diaper bag for twins vs one baby is that you need more diapers.

Here are…

LIVING LITTLE

It’s so easy to get caught up in life that we forget to actually live and do what makes us happy. This past week brought about a big change in my life (Read more about that here) and a few reminders of what’s important.

I’ve been moving at a pace of “get things done as quickly as possible so I can get more things done” and I’m having to remind myself to slow down and live at their pace and…

MONTHLY MILESTONES – 8 MONTHS

8 Months? Really? Where has the time gone? I love that each month becomes my new favorite. The babes have really made leaps and bounds this month development wise. Easton is crawling and pulling up onto everything and side-stepping. Everly is a little less mobile but her cognitive skills are on point. The girl is aware… she knows when I leave the room, she watches and mimics, she babbles all day, and her spit bubble skills are off the…

STEPPING OUT

Stepping out of your comfort zone is never easy. It’s probably one of my least favorite things to do. Funny thing is, each time I’ve taken that leap, I’ve never regretted it. So, I’ve made a choice. I weighed all the pros and cons, I went back and forth, I lost sleep, but I made a choice.

I’m stepping out of my comfort zone of the office and into my life at home, full time. I’ve always valued my…

SPREADING THE LOVE (OR MILK)

Breastfeeding is hard, really REALLY hard. And no one tells you this…

When I was pregnant I was determined to exclusively breastfeed our twins. I read all the books and prepped myself the best I knew how. I had a vision of how easy and beautiful breastfeeding would be and it didn’t play out that way.

MY STORY

The babes were born 5 weeks early and breastfeeding in the 1st month was a difficult struggle. We ended up having to supplement with…

BALANCING ACT

WORK LIFE BALANCE… Is there such a thing?

I keep hearing about it but in my endless search for it, I can’t seem to locate it (similar to my car keys yesterday but that’s another post).

Balancing work and being a mom is probably one of the toughest things I’ve had to do. I’m constantly in a state of tug of war with myself… answer one last email or change a diaper, make one more phone call or rock a babe…
