Right before we headed to Texas for 10 days, we discovered that Easton is part monkey as he mastered the art of climbing out of his crib AND back in… this brought on the transition to the toddler room much sooner than I had anticipated. Much to my surprise, he LOVES his new bed and all the updates I’ve been making to their space.
I don’t have any “good” sleep tips yet because we’re only 1 week into the transition, I’ll post about that later but today’s finds are all about making the transition in the room, from decor to safety… I’m sharing some things I’ve purchased along with some things I’m coveting to transition our nursery into a toddler room (insert crying emoji).
So far we’ve added a chalkboard wall on the closet doors, a few new “big kid” books and the toddler bed… I contemplated taking every toy out of their room for fear that they would spend all night playing but ‘so far so good’, now I need to update our storage solutions and add some pops of colors especially pastels. I haven’t changed much yet, but you can see what our nursery looked like here for comparison.
E threw me for a loop when he came trotting out of his room so I scrambled to find a toddler bed I liked. I did have time to order online since we were traveling for a while which was nice. I settled on this toddler bed because it fits our home decor and I love the mid-century modern simplicity of the bed.
**Sidenote – We have not transitioned Everly because she has no interest in getting out. We will keep her in her crib for as long as possible and then most likely move her to twin bunk beds.**
