Did you know kitchen styling was even a thing? Here’s my philosphy on giving your kitchen the most aesthetically pleasing vibe possible… when you’re buying something to decorate your kitchen with, make sure it’s usable and vice versa, when you need a certain item in your kitchen like a butter dish, make sure it’s visually pleasing. Your end result will be a beautifully styled kitchen that’s also functional.
I never want any item I bring in to the kitchen to be too pretty to use but also, I find that I won’t use a specific item often if it’s not also pretty. It’s a balance!
Even though our kitchen still has a ways to go, the range wall is complete! Of course, I’ve already been hunting kitchen styling items and playing with different looks. I’m mixing some flea market finds in with newer items and I love the way my kitchen styling is pulling together.
I know the styling of this area will be fluid as I come across new finds but I wanted to share a few items I’m using or have recently purchased to pull the kitchen styling details together.

KITCHEN STYLING ITEMS
When designing this kitchen, we had some touch choices to make… like do we do open shelving or upper cabinets. I’m so glad we went for this open shelving next to the range. I was worried it would pull too much cabinet storage out of the kitchen but it’s the perfect place to store and display our beautiful kitchen items and gives easy access too … plus I’m really hopeful that the easy access to all the beautiful cookbooks will inspire me to open them up more often!
