April showers bring May flowers… Spring has sprung y’all. Wild flowers are blooming all over southern California and as we ease out of this quarantine, it’s a much needed refreshing site. We’ve been taking daily walks and stopping to smell all the flowers, we’ve even been foraging some from the canyon to brighten up our home. I’ve been craving new items to bring some change and positivity into this current season we’re all in so here’s a few things that are brightening up my mood lately!

Matching Sweats for summer – I just love the look of these refined sweatsuits for summer… perfect for working from home or for heading to the grocery store or strolling on the beach. Sadly the one I have pictured above is sold out in my size but I did grab this Lou and Grey set in black and am still on the hunt for the perfect white or cream set.

We were recently gifted these Life Factory water bottles for the family to enjoy and I haven’t put mine down! As the temperatures are rising, it’s important to stay hydrated and I love that these are ethically made and have no toxins. Great for the whole family! I’m doing a giveaway on my instagram so head over and enter!

It’s no secret that I love a good dress and these two (here and here) are at the top of my list. I love the colors and shapes. Also very comfortable for working from home or the daily 4PM happy hour we’ve instated over here.

We’ve been working hard on our backyard as temperatures are rising. While we wait on last minute projects to finish up, I’ve been sourcing accessories this week and fell in love with this planter and these lanterns. I also scored this candle from the new McGee and Company Collaboration with Target and was super excited! Still on the hunt for outdoor pillows and a rug!

I finally downloaded a new book (this one) to my kindle and can’t wait to crack it open. I finished up Where the Crawdad’s Sing about a month ago and it was so good y’all! I highly recommend it if you haven’t already read it.

One thing sheltering in place has done for me is inspire me to create more in the kitchen! I’ve been turning to Half Baked Harvest for tons of simple and yummy recipes. Last night we made this and this and Easton declared it was the best meal we’ve ever had… I agree!

Lastly, if you’ve been following my stories on Instagram, you know we’re revamping our terraced hill in our back yard. As I was researching gardens, I stumbled upon Victory Gardens, have y’all heard of those? It started back in World War 1 as they faced a food shortage… Here’s a link to the History of these but I thought it was so neat and so fitting for the state of our country. I’ll refer to our new garden as our little Victory Garden. Follow along on Pinterest for tons of garden inspiration. I’ve been pinning like crazy as we design and execute this project!

I hope you all have a really great week! Happy Monday!
