If you’ve walked through a big box store lately, you may think it’s December with all the Holiday decor displayed. A home improvement store I was in recently even had Christmas music playing… now, don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas as much as the next guy but you know what else I love? THANKSGIVING!
I feel like Thanksgiving is the poor forgotten stepchild. There’s a tiny little stand at the craft store with Thanksgiving items and there’s 4 aisles dedicated to solely Christmas. It’s sad. In an effort to bring awareness to my second favorite holiday, I’m sharing Thanksgiving with the babes as much as I can. As the babes have gotten older, holidays have become such a big deal in our house. Halloween this year was epic and I can’t wait for them to fall in love with Thanksgiving as much as I am.
One way we love to learn about things is reading books together. Easton loves to memorize the pages and say the book along with me and it’s a great way for them to get visual elements too. I’ve rounded up my top Thanksgiving books to share with your kiddos. I ordered a few of these Thanksgiving books and will be scouring the library for more today!
