If you’ve been around these parts before, it’s not hard to tell that the fashion bug didn’t fall too far from the tree with Everly. She has a pinch-eon for spinning dresses, layers, and adorable boots… Even better if they’re fine leather, pretty pink, or have a few floral touches to it too! She’s such a trendy tot!
There are two struggles I have with finding clothing that both her and I like. The first and biggest struggle is price points. The cute stuff I want costs a small fortune. On occasion, I don’t mind, but toddlers grow really fast and they’re so incredibly hard on their clothes which makes it tough to spend a lot of money on their stuff!
Last year I stumbled upon the cutest little mini dress on Amazon and all of a sudden, I opened up a door of ridiculously cute stuff at a fraction of the costs… and yes, I realize that most of it is made in China and the quality is far less than I would prefer. Let’s be totally honest here, toddlers are worse than your drunk roommate in college… if they’re not pooping their own pants, they’re puking on your favorite suede shoes and worse yet, they don’t even have jobs to replace the stuff they destroy. Buying cheap stuff for the babes at least makes me feel a tiny bit better when they ruin it. Example, the $12 faux suede shoes from China that got scuffed while Evie was riding her bike were no big deal… as opposed to the time she wore her brand new ‘name brand’ leather shoes and put a whole in the toe on the first day. A tiny piece of my stylish mom soul died with that shoe!
Of course, I still support the small shops that I love so much but if you’re like me (and I think most of y’all are), you just can’t justify spending $500-$600 on 10 items for a growing, messy toddler! Especially not for play clothes and preschool clothes!
